The Executive Director with Communities In Schools of High Point is the leader and chief spokesperson for the organization. The successful Executive Director will represent the organization to the community and foster a good relationship and image among our stakeholders (school districts, community partners, etc.), clients and general public. The Executive Director creates a culture of partnership between Board and staff based on genuine trust and respect for each other. As the Executive Director this person ensures financial policies and the implementation of fundraising plans to secure funding. In addition, the ED coordinates and manages deliverables for all grant/funding opportunities. The Executive Director oversees recruiting, evaluating, administering employee benefits to our High Point team.
The successful candidate will possess knowledge of nonprofit financial statements, budgeting process and accounting procedures. As well as have strong leadership, organizational and analytical abilities with demonstrated decision making experience. Experience managing at least 3 or more employees is desired. A Bachelor’s degree (Master’s preferred) in public administration, education, social services, business or related field is required. Five to seven years demonstrated successful leadership and management in nonprofit/education/business or related environment including management of budgets is required.
