Reentry to Resilience

What Is the Reentry to Resilience (R2R) program?

The R2R program will assist youth in successfully transitioning from the Youth Development Center back into the community.  The goal will be to ensure that youth achieve educational and career success.   The R2R program will work with the youth and family for up to 12 months post-release.

We will coordinate the following supports once the youth returns home:

  • Enrolling in school and providing academic support (tutoring, learning labs, etc.)
  • Connecting to afterschool and pro-social supports (sports, service learning, mentoring, etc.)
  • Preparing for career and workforce readiness (vocational education placement, mock interviews, job shadowing, job placement, etc.)

Positive Outcomes for Youth

The youth and family will be served by the Youth Success Coach to ensure the following positive outcomes:

  • Reduced recidivism
  • Increased academic success
  • Education promotion / graduation
  • College & Career readiness
  • Independent living
  • Positive Family and Community Enagagement
