“A child with a dream is a child with a future.”

Teachers and schools cannot do it alone. Communities In Schools has been the nation’s largest, most successful dropout prevention program for more than 25 years and currently serves more than 2 million students annually.

For the past two years Worth magazine has named Communities In Schools one of “the top 100 charities that will save the world.” When you invest in CIS you are investing in Success for our youth – our greatest asset and the future of America.

Your fully tax deductible contribution will make a profound difference in helping young people learn, stay in school, graduate and prepare for life!

CIS Mission

To champion the connection of needed community resources with schools and other sites to help young people successfully learn, stay in school, and prepare for life.

CISNC achieves this mission by: replicating the CIS concept and community-organizing process in new communities; actively supporting and responding to the needs of existing local programs; building strong, effective relationships with other statewide organizations; and advocating statewide for North Carolina's youth and their families.
